Now it’s official: China intends to seize Taiwan

Taiwan had previously warned the world community that Beijing was going to attack, but there was no response. Many perceived such statements as manipulation or overly panicky moods. However, the head of the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Qin Gang, in his speech denied any doubts about this and proved that Taiwan’s worries were not groundless.

“Taiwan is ours”

Qin Gang said that from a historical perspective, Taiwanese territories are exclusively Chinese. For this reason, the Chinese government plans to return these lands, because both coasts of the Taiwan Strait must be subject to Beijing.

The head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs also stated that according to international law, the Taiwanese territories belong to China, because after World War II, two documents that regulated this issue were signed:

• Cairo Declaration;
• Potsdam Declaration.

At the same time, Qin Gang’s speech was clearly propaganda, because he appeals to such concepts as separatism, and he calls people who want to separate Taiwan from native China criminals.

New emperors

In the speech of the Head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, there aremany theses similar to those that sound from the mouth of the second dictator – the Russian one:

• Beijing will not allow the separation of any part of China, no matter what measures have to be applied;
• separatist forces are trying to take advantage of the situation to harm China;
• Beijing will not let down 1.4 billion Chinese people, who are waiting for decisive actions from the government;
• belonging of Taiwan is a native Chinese interest.

It will not do without the USA

Meanwhile, Taiwan is not waiting for aggression with folded hands. It is already known that a contract worth 1.17 billion dollars was signed recently, under which almost 400 Harpoon-type missiles will be purchased. These are land-based anti-ship missiles that can be used to reflect enemy attacks from:

• airplanes;
• surface ships;
• coast-based installations.

Such anti-ship missiles will be purchased in the USA.

Meanwhile, the representative of the EU for foreign and security affairs called for the start of patrolling in the Taiwan Strait area by European naval forces.
